In the early days the brothers Robert and Remi participated in the Short Distance races with the pigeons of Jaak Tournier. With these pigeons their father raced for many years and was very succesful. Later they invested in the pigeons of Alfons Slaets, also they obtained the pigeons of Danny van de Vrede via their good friend Wim Segboer from Arnemuiden. During the years they already added the pigeons of Louis de Leus from Boortmeerbeek to their strain for the Middle-Distance races. In 2020 the Van Landeghem brothers showed outstanding results on the National races, winning 3. Nat. Chateauroux against 20.789 birds as main highlight with BE20-909.

National Acebird Allround Youngsters KBDB in 2020

Another talented racer in 2020 was BE20-926. This bird became 2. Nat. Acebird Allround Youngsters KBDB and 7. Acebird Middle-Distance Youngsters KBDB Rankings 2020. BE20-926 was winner of 1. Prov. Bourges against 6.538 birds, 18. Prov. Chateauroux against 6.569 birds, 41. National Chateauroux against 20.789 birds, 60. Prov. Argenton against 5.225 birds, etc. In the pedigree we find the lines of BE92-961 'Zwarte Panter' by Raoul and Xavier Verstraete, but also it is a descendant to the old lines of Alfons Slaets and Wim Segboer.

Due to their high age, now in 2021 the Van Landeghem brothers decided to say goodbye to the world of pigeon racing. All breeders and racers - including the 2. National Acebird Allround Youngsters KBDB 2020 and parents, but also the winner of 3. National Chateauroux - will be for sale on European Pigeon Website. Only a round of youngsters born in 2021 will be kept for racing. This auction will start on February 07. 2021 and will expire on Sunday February 21. 2021.
